RV Park

You must be affiliated with the livestock program in order to request a space. Priority is given to 4H Community Leaders & FFA Teachers, followed by 4H Carded Leaders and equitable FFA counterpart (defined by fair), and finally are parents.

What's the process for offering spaces?

After the number of vacancies has been determined, we will go through the interest list and start determining how many requests have been made for each of the priority groups. If we do not have enough spaces to offer everyone in the priority group a space, we will go to a random drawing for that group. The Fair Board reserves the right to add other factors into determining space priorities at anytime.

Can I request a specific space?

No, we do not take request for specific spaces. We go down the list and place people at the next available vacancy.

How many times can I submit an entry on the interest list?

One per household. During the verification process if it has been determined more than one entry has been submitted for the household, ALL entries will be nullified.

I saw a lot of vacancies in the full hook up lot, why aren't you filling them?

The full hook up lot was built in the 80s before RVs had slideouts and 50 amp circuits. The park is intentionally not filled in order to provide the space and power to accommodate current RV specifications.

I've been applying for multiple years and have not been selected, where am I on the list?

We do not keep a perpetual list. We start each year with a new list, so the number of years you have applied has no bearing on whether you are selected or drawn to be offered a space.

How will we be notified if we are or not being offered a spot?

The majority of the communications pertaining to the RV park will come via email from the address rv@ivfairgrounds.com. Please ensure you have whitelisted this address so you do not miss any emails. If you fail to respond to emails by predetermined dates, any offers will be forfeited and will be offered to the next person on the list. It is not the fair's responsibility to continually attempt to make contact to ensure you have received any communications sent to you.
