The Mini Muralist Art Project is a way to showcase your artistic painting talents, live one day during the fair. We are looking for 11 artists, to paint a 4'x8' mini-mural. The selected artist will be provided with a framed 4'x8' sheet of plywood which has been prepped and ready to be painted. The artist will be painting live on stage, with fair attendees able to watch the artists. The selected artists will provide their own paints, brushes, and anything else they need to create their work of art. The artist will have up to 8 hours to paint their mural, which must be related to the fair. The interpretation of being related can be loosely interpreted however the selected artist must supply their concept to fair management prior to final approval. Completed projects will then be displayed for the duration of the fair, and future fairs and events. Selected artists will receive a stipend of $400. The completed project becomes property of the fairgrounds. Below are a couple of pictures of a similar project from the Arizona State Fair. |
